Healthcare for foreign retirees
The Costa del Sol has excellent healthcare infrastructure, with world-class public and private hospitals. Many doctors speak English and other European languages.
EU citizens
With the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), you have temporary coverage. For permanent residency, you can access the Spanish public health system (with an agreement from your country) or take out private insurance (80-150 EUR/month for those over 65).

Hospital Costa del Sol (Marbella), Regional Hospital of Málaga, Buchinger Clinic (private), Hospiten Estepona, and numerous international private clinics offering care in multiple languages.
